The work presents an image of an allotment garden. Alluding to the accepted indexical quality of photography, this illusion is eventually broken by a leisurely stroll through the garden, thus revealing the digital nature of this environment.
Dominik Keggenhoff (DE), born in 1988, recently graduated from the University of Art and Design Offenbach am Main. His work deals with the idea of realism and what we will accept as part of our reality, challenging these perceptions through digital game environments, video and installation. Recent group exhibitions include the Festival der jungen Talente at Frankfurter Kunstverein (2016), B3 Biennial of the Moving Image in Frankfurt (2015) and “Monitoring Selected” at Galerie Patrick Ebensperger Berlin (2015).
