Begun in the wake of unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, after the murder of unarmed Michael Brown by police, “The Forcing (no. 2)” is a meditation on power and the longing for deliverance in contemporary America. It combines original sound and video with appropriated content.

Lydia Moyer (US), born in 1977, received her MFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after additional graduate study at Concordia University in Montreal, QC, Canada. In her work, she is interested in excavating contemporary and historical American culture. Recent screenings include Other Cinema series in San Francisco, CA; the Interference Archives in Brooklyn, NY; and Les Recontres Internationales festival in Paris and Berlin.
