The video program Systems / Shaking / Sounding conceived for the Humblab is an accompanying event to Brigitta Bödenauer’s exhibition Stranded at the Vita Kuben Gallery in Umeå taking place in collaboration with the WRO Art Center.

It consists of three chapters: the first – with documentations and a short artist talk – provides an insight into the essence of the 2017 DRAFT SYSTEMS WRO Media Art Biennale. Video works in the main part present the shaky condition of the world’s regulatory systems mutating into interconnected technology-based constellations used by the artists as point of reference and subject of their work. Audio and sonic elements of the moving image, their interplay with the visual layer are also an aspect of the selection. The last part – a bonus track – is a documentation of Brigitta Bödenauer’s audiovisual performance that took place at the WRO Art Center in 2017, introducing the artist’s practice in the context of her kinetic-sound-light installation presented at the Vita Kuben Gallery.
