WRO on Tour #19

The Labyrinth Gallery / Lublin (Poland)
screening: May 10, 2018 / 5 PM

The motto of the show in the Labyrinth Gallery is the distance. The literal understanding sends back to geography and space: routine traversing of routes, tracks repeated at regular intervals, closer and farther journeys – both physical and imaginary. With aid of technology, we can control and manage the distance, artificially shorten or move away places or phenomena. In other perspectives, the distance refers to the sphere of social relations: emotional close-ups, and sometimes tensions, conflicts and obstacles. The distance is arbitrary and takes on the meaning depending on the chosen points and perspectives.
